The research team, comprised of five UNH professors, a private sector scientist, and two state public health officials, was recently awarded nearly $750,000 by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to conduct the work for a three-year period beginning January 1, 2008.

Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) in their summer newsletter published "From the President: IDSA Stands Up For Lyme Disease Guidelines" which discusses IDSA's position and actions regarding the Connecticut attorney general's antitrust case.

We find it appalling that a respected medical society like the IDSA has chosen to oppose patient interests at every turn. Professional societies have an obligation to promote the welfare of patients by improving the quality of life for those seriously ill.
